For the past 3 years I have watched my best friend be in a emotionally abusive and controlling relationship. It has hurt to see her like that and not be able to stop it from happening.
Tonight she broke up with him because she realized she was annoyed with not being able to move on with her life outside of her high school sweetheart relationship.
She told me she realized she was in love with their relationship, and the old young them. She said the relationship ran its course and it was time for both of them to be independent.
I am so proud of her.
